The weekend was part of the Empathy Museum, an international project using technology, philosophy and art to change the world one relationship at a time.

Notable projects included We Face Forward, a multi-venue event of contemporary West African art, and part of Manchester’s contribution the 2012 Cultural Olympiad; the research, development and implementation of Nikhil Chopra’s Coal on Cotton – part of the 2013 Manchester International Festival.

Founder, Darling.
Focusing on women artists, Darling is a fledgling research project, a copy of which has been acquired by the Manchester School of Art Special Collections Library. Contributors include Sian Bonnell, Kathryn Faulkner, Piper Mavis and Ellen Rogers. Articles include brief introductions to aspects of art, aesthetic and cultural theory.
